Hello,

I need some information concerning the photos shown here:
http://www.muzej-rov...p?dogadajId=776

1. Which type of loco can be seen in the "big" photo?
2. Any further information about this series? (built by? when? located in? regularely in Rovinj? on duty until?)
3. When (approximately) was the photo taken? (by whom?)
4. Where (When?) was the photo with the railroadmen on the wagon taken?

Thanks for your help!

Regards
Guinness

I found this movie:

If I see well locos and on 10:45 min, 14:45 min and 31:45 min, are different types? What about gauge?

It's all about the construction of the dam on the Neretva River near Jablanica in the early 1950s to create the reservoir for the hydro-electric plant HE Jablanica.
The reservoir will flood many of the villages as well as the narrow gauge railway (760 mm gauge) on the right bank of the Neretva River from Konjic to Jablanica.
Some of the affected villages were Čelebići, Lisičići, Ostrožac, Rama etc.
At 1:40 you can see the railway bridge at Ostrožac, I think.
At 10:55 you can see one of the affected railway stations (might have been Lisičići) with the locomotive of the class 73.
The narrow gauge line from Konjic to Jablanica was rerouted to the left bank of the newly formed reservoir and open for traffic in 1954.
The narrow gauge line from Sarajevo to Ploče was closed and abandoned in 1966, when the new standard gauge line became operational.

Thanks mister for answer.
My opinions about the movie.
At 1:50 I see two bridges, over Neretvica and over Narenta. It means, the tran moves through Ostrozac (dirrection from Lisicici to Rama).
At 7:15 - Ostrozac.
At 7:31 - Lisicici.
At 10:57 - There is written name of the station but I cannot read letters. If we would not able to find old photos of Lisicici or Celebici, maybe railroad graphics for Konjica - Jablanica old route can help.

My opinions about the movie.
At 10:45 and 14:45 - gauge 600 mm, locomotives are different types.
At 32:01 - gauge 760 mm, I see: "JDZ T94600"

You are right.
There were two bridges in Ostrožac, a road bridge over Neretva, and a railway bridge over Neretvica.
The train is moving from Konjic towards Rama and Jablanica.

At 7:15 - Ostrozac.

It does say so in the film.

At 7:31 - Lisicici.

It also says so in the film.

I am not able to read the sign either.
However, I've found an image of Lisičići, so it's not Lisičići.
It can't be Ostrožac or Rama either.
There is an image of the ruined Žuglići station, so in my opinion Žuglići is the best candidate.
According to the documents, Čelebići did not have a railway station on the original right bank route.

Yes, these are all various light railway industrial locomotives working on temporary tracks.

At 32:01 - gauge 760 mm, I see: "JDZ T94600"

It's said that transportation of the heavy equipment for the power plant from Ploče to Jablanica required a specially designed train just for that occasion.
The line from Ploče to Jablanica was specifically prepared for the transport, the bridges were strengthened, and worn out sleepers were replaced.
Industrial track was used for the transport from Jablanica to the plant.

Document (railroad graphics) posted on 23. August 2010 is not good http://www.zeljeznic.../7715-grafikoni
We need to find older one.

I cannot find relevant railroad graphics where is written Zuglici. I saw on one map Zuglici was between Ostrozac and Rama and in my opinion, house on station Zuglici had different windows than house on movie. So, I think Zuglici is not candidate.

About Celebici:
There is station Celebic on this map http://geographie.ip...esnum/34959.jpg

On timetable Sarajevo - Gravosa (1912.) between Konjica and Lisicici is written "Strazarnica 7"

http://photogalerija.com/?m=20150625

On the map nr. 34958 (1940.) between Konjica and Lisicici is signed "Celebic"

http://www.crazygall...-paris8.fr.html

I am sure "Strazarnica 7" and "Celebic" was situated almost on the same place. Between that station and village Celebic was bridge over the river Narenta.

I've never included this one, because it wasn't properly scanned.

So, the list (1944) goes:
.....
Konjic
Lisičići
Ostrožac
Žuglići
Rama
Jablanica
.....

Anyway, Čelebić is debatable, but I don't have a graph from the period 1945 - 1954.

Čelebić is on the 1952. JŽ railways map that was posted somewhere on the 4um by member milan_s (Section no. K52.3.3). It is also listed among the official railway places on the same map.
Elas, the maps were uploaded on the ImageShack so they are not available on the 4um any more

You are absolutely right. Well, Čelebić seems to have been on the pre-1954 route after all. I acquired that map in 2011, and somehow forgot about it. I'll have to upload it again.

I tried to find a photo of the old station Celebici (narrow gauge railway - northern side of Narenta). After searching and searching I only found article about standard gauge railway Sarajevo - Ploce

http://photogalerija.com/?p=10269

which included standard gauge railway Vinkovci - Brcko

http://photogalerija.com/?p=10215

and narrow gauge railway

Zavidovici - Kusace

http://photogalerija.com/?p=10362

Are there topics where I can post these links?

Also, is there topic where I can ask something about country (where is tunnel), gauge (standard or narrow) and lokomotive, at 19:41 min on this movie? I see on the map, the dam is on the river Drina (border between two countries)

Also, is there topic where I can ask for the purpose of narrow gauge railroad on this beach, on the northern side of river Sava?

The dam of the first power plant is on the river Drina, but the second part of the video shows the construction of Reversible Hydro Power Plant Bajina Bašta, which is situated in Serbia. The reservoir is located high on Mount Tara, in which pumped water from the river Drina when there is high water levels. The construction of the tunnel is for this reversible hydro power plant.

Gauge should be a meter, and locomotives are battery-powered locomotives. I'll try to find the exact type.

Railway on the beach in Belgrade, on the Sava River, is set due to filling of the ground. This was done as part of the construction of a new bridge in 1933
